NEW YEAR'S EVE: EVENT DETAILS

Thank you for booking (and paying for) tickets for our New Year's Eve Ceilidh on Wednesday 31st December. We are thrilled to welcome the excellent Long Dogs ceilidh band to Catbrook Memorial Hall. The event is an absolute sell-out so it's sure to be a fun evening with a great atmosphere. All the important information about the event is given below.

 

Timings: doors open at 8.30pm (this gives everyone a chance to eat beforehand). A list of attendees will be at the door, so please 'check in' on arrival. Dancing will start at 9.30pm and continue (with a break) until just after midnight.

 

Parking: limited parking is available opposite the hall. It will be busy, so please walk or lift share wherever possible. Please park cars tail against the hedge, not parallel to the road, to maximise the number of spaces. If you need to park elsewhere in the village, please do so courteously without blocking the narrow lanes or driveways.  

 

Drinks and food: we will be running a bar selling a variety of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. Cash and card accepted. We will also have crisps and individual pots of Brooke's dairy ice cream for purchase. You are welcome to bring any other snacks, but please be aware that table space will be limited.

 

Raffle: we will be running a raffle to raise funds for the hall (we don't benefit from the ticket sales proceeds as the event is subsidised by the Night Out Scheme, which supports the arts in Wales). Tickets will be sold for cash only, so please bring plenty! If you would like to donate a raffle prize, or two, please bring the items along on the evening - bottles of wine or spirits, chocolates, boxed toiletries, etc always go down well! 

 

Dress code: you could maybe go Scottish, Irish, Country, Western, posh frock or jeans but the key is comfort - layers of clothing, as it will get hot, and comfortable dancing shoes! 

 

Cancellations: we are fully booked and may have a waiting list. If you are no longer able to attend the event, please let me know as soon as possible. If we are able to resell your ticket(s), we will refund you.
