Hall Bookings Administrator
Would you like to get involved and help the local community but don't have much time? We have the perfect role for you! The Hall Bookings Administrator manages third party hire of the Hall. This includes private parties, classes, meetings, etc. but not the ticket sales for events.
The time commitment varies, but it is not onerous. The normal volume of enquiries is no more than one or two per month (including regular bookings). Much of the role can be done from home, but you do need to live in or within a few minutes of Catbrook to meet hirers and check that the hall is shipshape before and after a booking. You don't need to join the Hall committee though you would be very welcome if you would like to do so. A full handover from the current job holder will be given.

​Join the village hall events team
The village hall events team (aka hall committee), is responsible for managing events and private bookings at the hall - both for the community to enjoy, and to raise funds for the hall’s maintenance and upkeep so that it continues to be available now and in the future.
Whether you’re more comfortable behind the scenes, or up front and centre, becoming part of the team is a great way to:

Get to know others in the community

Help make sure the events and activities reflect local interests

Learn or develop your skills

Offer your experience and expertise
What’s involved
Being part of the hall’s event team is really about giving a regular commitment to support the bookings and events where you can (as much or as little as you can offer) so that collectively many hands make light work.
The team (currently 8 from across the district and of varying ages and interests) meet for about an hour once a month, and keep in touch/coordinate things via email and WhatsApp in between if needed.
